A blend of energy, dedication, and charm, Rozzie Franco brings a fresh perspective as the newest member of the WDBO News Team. After traveling abroad as an army brat Rozzie returned to Florida. She attended Mainland High School in Daytona Beach and then quickly darted off to South Florida. Rozzie graduated from Florida International University in Miami with a B.A. in English literature.
As a Cuban-American, Rozzie thrived in the cultural hustle and bustle that embodies South Florida.
After graduating, Rozzie immersed herself in Miami's South Beach club scene bartending in some of the most popular nightclubs in the nation.
After years of grueling night schedules of staying up till dawn, she decided to retire from the entertainment industry and give the daylight a try. She was recruited for a position in the pharmaceutical sales field. Roz led her sales team in becoming the top selling pharmaceutical sales representative in the company.
Rozzie returned to Daytona Beach to be with family. She went looking for a job in sales and landed a job in radio news. Discovering her love for field reporting, she embarked on a new career. In less than three months, she became part of the morning news team and was hired as a full time reporter/producer. She is excited to now be a part of WDBO.
Rozzie loves Woody Allen films, Salsa Dancing and Italian food.
