When the game began and I saw the names Javie, Forte, and Stafford; I did not have very high expectations for the officiating. I thought that the best refs were selected for the playoffs? Usually when the clock is incorrect, the refs stop play, reset the clock, and let the team in possesion bring the ball in. If no game time elapses then no game exists. Detroit should have had to bring the ball in at the far court with 5.1 seconds after the clock had been reset. However, the real bad guy in the Magic's loss was turnovers. I know that it looks good on the game plan to get the ball inside to Dwight first, but this caused the majority of the turnovers. Forcing the ball inside in this case is similar to what Woody Hayes said about passing the football, three things can happen and two of them are bad. The Magic can't keep trying things that don't work. Detroit is not your typical basketball team.
