...The Players of the Game tonight? Steve Javie, Joe Forte and Derek Stafford!

...I hate crying about the referees, but that call at the end of the third quarter was atrocious. The TNT replay clearly showed that Billups released the ball at the 5.23 second mark. The clock read 5.1 seconds at the beginning of the play. Do the math. The shot came .13 too late!

...Our MVP of tonight's game? The Palace clock operator!

...With that said, we're up four with just over six minutes to play but couldn't hold the lead. The Magic also made some very questionable decisions in the final three minutes of the game. They have only themselves to blame for the loss. But there's no question that Billups' three gave Detroit the momentum it was looking for after the Magic gained a head of steam in the third quarter.

...Seems like we can't get a break on these late clock controversies. Houston stole a win from us earlier this season after the refs got one wrong. It happened again in game two. If it's not for bad luck, we'd have none at all.

...Rashard was 0-4 with one turnover in the final 3:05.

...The Pistons didn't score a field goal in the final 6:00 of game two. Problem is, the Pistons hit their final 13 points from the free throw line.

...If Jameer Nelson does not foul out with 1:23 to go in this game, I believe we win! The Closer sparked the Magic in the third quarter with three-3-pointers. He ran the show all night and finished with 22 points. I have to think that shot with :42 left and the Magic down two goes to Jameer if he's on the floor. Jameer Nelson is coming of age as a point guard in this league.

...That is all from Motown...Magic fans, let's rock the house for game three because our team's gonna need you!

I think Stan is not the man until he can take some T's that is technicals and fines. He should be so loud last night about that clock issue that they would have to run him out of the building. That is 3 points they stole from us. The next one was the Jameer 3 that was dis-allowed because of a moving screen after the shot. OK we are now up 6 points. We then had Pistons shooting one after what was called a Dooling foul away from the ball. Now we are up 7 points and the game is now tied. At least it would not be tied we would have had the momentum to accelerate and not catching up.
Magic has been given the disrespect for too long in this season that is why they were sent on the road to drown but they chose to swim. Continue to swim baby under the radar.
    Magic you rock! Rock on in 3, 4, 5, & 6
  • Bad Refereeing
When the game began and I saw the names Javie, Forte, and Stafford; I did not have very high expectations for the officiating. I thought that the best refs were selected for the playoffs? Usually when the clock is incorrect, the refs stop play, reset the clock, and let the team in possesion bring the ball in. If no game time elapses then no game exists. Detroit should have had to bring the ball in at the far court with 5.1 seconds after the clock had been reset. However, the real bad guy in the Magic's loss was turnovers. I know that it looks good on the game plan to get the ball inside to Dwight first, but this caused the majority of the turnovers. Forcing the ball inside in this case is similar to what Woody Hayes said about passing the football, three things can happen and two of them are bad. The Magic can't keep trying things that don't work. Detroit is not your typical basketball team.
