| Officer Jim Bishop spent 22 years working with the Orlando Police department and 16 years as Crimeline's Coordinator before coming to WDBO in 1978. Even though he retired from the police department in 1994, his frequent television appearances and presentations with Crimeline have merited him the title of "Officer Jim". His on-air humor has been keeping Central Floridians informed as Jim Turner's morning show side kick and "I-4 Traffic Cam" reporter for the past 10 years. He is also currently assisting the Florida Safety Council by teaching the Basic Driver Improvement Course. The whole Bishop family is dedicated to helping the public. Jim's wife, Betsy, has been a special education teacher and a literacy facilitator for Orange County Schools for over 30 years. His daughter, Michelle, is a physical therapist for Florida Hospital and his son, James, is a paramedic/firefighter for the Orlando Fire Department. Tune in to WDBO weekday mornings from 5-9AM and let Officer Jim help you get to work on time...with traffic updates every 6 minutes during Central Florida's Morning News with Jim Turner. | |
