Because the beams heat only at their focal point, only the targeted tumorous tissue is destroyed, creating a non-invasive means of destroying tumors inaccessible to previous radiosurgical techniques.

Because the system is extremely efficient, treatments are able to be administered in fractions that can be determined at the patient's convenience, allowing staff to schedule flexibly, which saves time for patients and the hospital.
